Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to anyone using Igalia. It supplements our Terms of Service and protects our users, our infrastructure and the wider web.

Last updated: June 1, 2026

This page is maintained by Igalia to summarize how we run the Igalia platform. It is editable content provided for transparency, not legal advice or an independent certification. For specific questions, contact [email protected].

1. Prohibited content

Illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing or hateful content.

Sexual content involving minors, or content that exploits or endangers vulnerable people.

Malware, phishing pages, scams, deceptive landing pages and other content that harms users.

2. Prohibited behavior

Attempting to bypass authentication, rate limits or security controls.

Reverse engineering, scraping or systematically extracting non-public parts of the platform.

Sharing your account credentials, reselling credits or providing the service to third parties outside of the seats you have purchased.

Using Igalia to generate spam, manipulate search engines via cloaking or doorway tactics, or violate the guidelines of search engines and AI providers.

3. Fair-use safeguards

Credit-burning workflows that are clearly automated abuse (e.g. infinite loops, bulk requests against unrelated domains) may be rate-limited or paused for review.

Workspaces creating disproportionate load may be asked to upgrade or to throttle their usage.

4. Reporting violations

If you believe someone is using Igalia in violation of this AUP, please email [email protected] with as much detail as you can share.

5. Enforcement

Violations may result in a warning, removal of content, suspension of features or termination of the account, depending on severity and history.

Where conduct is illegal we may report it to the appropriate authorities.
